One Bad Crabtree

Remember the old saying… “One bad apple spoils the bunch?” Here’s another one... ---

“Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.”

The SanFrancisco 49ers signed the last remaining unsigned rookie from the 2009 draft today, wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Crabtree held out through spring training, pre-season and 5 weeks into the regular season.

Why? He thought he should have been drafted #5 overall instead of where he ended up being drafted at #10.

Why? Because in his 2 college years at Texas Tech he led the nation in receiving yards, catches and receiving touchdowns.

Apparently nobody has explained to Crabtree another old saying… “it is what it is.” I thought I should have been a baseball player. Guess what?… I’m not. “Ifs and buts are candy and nuts.”

Now, after all the hype and holdout there are only two outcomes for Crabtree. If he doesn’t become the badass, all pro, future hall of famer that he thinks he is… he will become one of the biggest busts in the NFL. Way to go kid, can you say “put up or shut up?”

Here’s a new saying you might want to get used to…

“You better produce on the field or Mike Singletary will put his foot in your ass.”
