In 1912, cartoonist Aloysius Koford produced a short-lived syndicated singlepanel comic strip about the adventures of a pair of transient cats named Kitteh and Pip. Decades later, his grandson, Adam, unearthed the creations to share with the world.

Well, no, not really. Farmington resident Adam Koford’s goofy conceit explains the old-school, early-20th century Krazy Kat-style look of his original strips, but not the Netspeak shorthand style of his characters’ dialogue, inspired by the ubiquitous “LOL cats” online meme. Collecting work from Koford’s Hobotopia blog, The Laugh- Out-Loud Cats Sell Out is a wonderfully bizarre bunch of gags, in which Pip frequently responds to being caught in awkward situations with a casual, “O hai,” or where a victory in chess by Pippeh is punctuated by the double-meaning, “Pwned.” Join the author as he signs his delightfully anachronistic book. Ur goin 2 like teh result.
