Animal Rights Terrorism is Not Activism

Regarding the activities of the individuals featured in “Animal Activists Fight For Their Own Rights” [May 13, City Weekly]: Normally, when you enter a residential area expressly to disturb and cause discomfort to those living there, set fires or otherwise damage property, illegally release domestic animals into the wild, and generally strive to create an environment of fear—not to mention incite and exhort others to do the same—you are a criminal and a terrorist.

No doubt that Al Qaida and the Taliban consider themselves legitimate “activists” and similarly whine about their “rights” being “infringed.”

To that I say, boo fucking hoo.
