CastParty SLC: He Said, She Said

Saturdays

Back in April, an after-hours performers’ jam and cabaret was born in the Chapel Theater at Salt Lake Acting Company, the brainchild of actor Jacob Johnson (now featured in the Saturday’s Voyeur ensemble) and musician Kevin Christiansen. It was a great opportunity for local musical theater talent to strut their stuff, but the venue seemed … not quite right.

Now, CastParty SLC has taken up residence Saturdays at Club Manhattan, giving the performances the ideal smoky—well, maybe not in Utah—nightclub setting. This week, cast members including Britani Cavaness, John Jeffrey Rolle, Monique Derr, Jake Anderson and Christiansen himself bring you “He Said, She Said”—an evening dedicated to classic songs celebrating the Battle of the Sexes. Men and women might not be able to agree on much, but a night on the town with great tunes and (optional) great dinner seems like it could be an exception. (Scott Renshaw)
