I hope it’s not true that D.P. Sorenson has retired from his Deep End column, but if it is, I want to express my thanks for the years of entertainment he provided.
His target audience—those who would pick up on every subtle reference to the church and temple ceremony—was extremely narrow, and I was in that target audience. I was amazed and grateful that it lasted so long and conveyed the ridiculousness of local culture and politics. I can’t believe the mileage he got out of Mit(t)! Holy sh!t! It was all so good. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you.
