Seven weeks plus seven family-friendly films at seven different Salt Lake City parks equals seven Friday Night Flicks of free fun! Say that seven times fast. Beginning June 5 at Liberty Park, Journey to the Center of the Earth kicks off the seven weeks of free flicks; last summer’s film stars Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson in an uncle-and-nephew adventure into a lost world.

Arrive early to snatch your 3D glasses. Screened on a gigantic inflatable screen, the selections this year vary from something old to something new. Recent releases like Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and The Tale of Despereaux alternate with classic films like The Wizard of Oz and Superman.

Pile the kids into the minivan, stock up on Junior Mints and drive the family to a night of casual entertainment. Or snag a special someone for a romantic cheap-date night. Bring the inside out and enjoy a free movie under a blanket of stars.
