Green Street lived up to its name on St. Practice Day—or, halfway to St. Patrick’s Day [Piper Down held a similar bash on Saturday, Sept. 19). DJ Juggy provided the soundtrack to corned-beef and beer-fueled revelry that briefly interrupted the football action. Yes, pigskin season is back and Green Street is all about the University of Utah, screening each college game on several of the club’s screens. Not into sports? The club’s lineup features live music in addition to DJs overseeing the dance floor Thursdays and weekends.
In The Bag
On Sept. 29, Club Habits (832 E. 3900 South) Tuesday Ladies Night will hold a Fall Frenzy Purse Party. Handbags will be issued to a few lucky attendees along with four designer clutches stuffed with cash and coupons—one containing a $500 payout. Other purses will include a stay at Hotel Monaco, plus certificates to spas and salons. Tuesday’s regular features will still be available including pole dancing lessons on Habits three poles with qualified instructors.
Night Shift: New Clubs Spotted
Club Jimax has a new name: The Old Yellow Stone Garage (1199 Beck Street). The west-side spot remains a solid place to grab a drink and a chat.
