Greek fine-dining just became a whole lot more interesting at Manoli’s in Salt Lake City. The elegant interior is welcoming and adorned with bright colors and is almost as alluring as the food itself. With all dishes prepared from scratch, the restaurant promises a mix of authentic Greek cuisine and a touch of chef/owner Manoli Katsanevas' own flair. If you’re unsure of what to order, try an assortment of the meze (meh-ZEH) plates— Greek dishes meant to be shared throughout a table. The Htapodi is astounding, which is a platter of charred octopus over a warm zursun bean salad and a drizzle of sherry vinaigrette. Pair it with Manoli’s signature Brizola steak, served with braised greens and lemon roasted potatoes. Save room for dessert as well—the “Goat Cheesecake” (cheesecake made with goat cheese) is second to none.
