Your piece on telephone fraud [“Phone Predators,” June 21, City Weekly] was quite the article. It hit home. I helped my roommate go through her credit-card statement, and sure enough, there was a charge from Success Coach Network in Orem for $59.95.

And arrogant jerks like Judge Stoney [“Lest Ye Be Judged,” July 5, City Weekly] have such an elitist attitude. The people of Saratoga Springs must rely entirely on the Mormon church to tell them who to vote for. Civil liberties need not be a concern.

I have told a joke for years: “I need to go to church and get my brain washed, otherwise I might have a dirty mind.”
