The ghoulish gourmet: On Halloween, from 6-9 p.m., Snowbird’s Aerie Restaurant will host the third annual Scary Aerie Dinner, a four-course meal with an eerie Halloween twist. First course is a choice of Spooky Salad or Thai Chicken Liver & Bloody Noodle Soup, followed by either Snail en CroĆ»te, Dracula’s Lasagna Bites or Inferno Shrimp. Costume-clad (optional) customers will then choose from entrees including Monk-Flesh (monkfish) in Ghoulish Gravy, Freaky Filet of Monster Bird (ostrich), Succulent Shrunken Hens (quail) and Sweet ’n’ Savory Frightful Fowl (free-range chicken). And for dessert, there’s Death by Chocolate, of course. The cost for the Scary Aerie’s frightening feast is only $39 per person, and with The Aerie’s stellar wine, beer and cocktail selection, there isn’t a ghost of a chance I’ll miss this one. The Aerie is located at the top of Snowbird’s Cliff Lodge. Call 933-2181 to make reservations. n n
