Smoking—certainly in Utah—is decidedly not fashionable. This weekend, the Salt Lake City Spring Fashion Stroll is out to demonstrate exactly how unfashionable it can be. Local boutiques and more than 35 designers once again team up for a showcase of unique fashions, with live runway shows at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. Live bands, DJs, street performers and dancers (including Transfusion Hype Dance Company) provide added entertainment as you take in the glorious creations, while artist booths showcase amazing local talent. But it’s also an event—as co-sponsored by the TRUTH anti-tobacco campaign—that aims to separate fashionable beauty from the stink and stain of smoke. It’s all about looking fabulous, and maybe feeling a bit more fabulous in the process.
