Formerly a children’s theater, The State Room is now a venue for grown ups—in other words, simply civilized. Since opening in spring 2009, the 300-capacity venue has endeared itself to music lovers who appreciate the cozy repurposed church pew seating, open dance floor and reasonable show times. Doors open at 8 p.m.
