Trees Sacrificed for Power Poles

Residential trees are getting chopped down faster than residents can grow them.

I have before-and-after pictures of two mature public-forest parking-strip trees which were cut down today to make room for Rocky Mountain Power utility line upgrades.

Meanwhile, city government has done nothing these past two years to stop the power company from claiming essential rights to our properties along 800 South. In our case, RMP would have easement rights within 50 feet of power poles. There’s nowhere on my property which escapes the designation!
