Whom do you bail out?

So the government hands you a few billion dollars. Whom or what do you bail out?

Jeff Reese: Is running to Mexico with the money an option?

Jesse James Burnitt: Education. An intelligent populace is a strong one, not easily fooled by the crooks in government.

Julie Erickson: First, I would do everything in my power to keep Sam Weller’s bookstore from moving away. Then, I’d bail out every investor of City Weekly who needed it.

Jennifer Nixon: First and foremost, I would bail myself out. I would then “bail out” the American Indians; they have been screwed over by the government longer than anyone else.

Derek Jones: Relief is definitely needed for recent graduates who have racked up huge amounts of college debt and now have no way to find a decent job to pay it back. In fact, let’s just bail out everyone’s college debt. It would free up a lot of money that then could be pumped elsewhere into the economy.

Christopher Westergard: I would purchase passes to Disneyland and distribute them across America. What Americans need is a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. We need to be bailed out of this doom and gloom. At Disneyland, we can all have a gay ol’ time!

Lia Pretorius: The news industry, so investigative journalism can thrive and actively contribute to a better informed electorate that makes good choices about elected officials and when to hold them accountable—so we don’t get to the point where bailouts are required!
