Well, my Staycation comes to a close. And my, what a fun time I had. Mainly I wrote, then slept, then watched DVDs, then slept, then read some books, then slept... Would now be a good time to point out that I don't get much sleep? I guess this was my body's way of catching up. So to close this out, for starters, let's check out the picture below of the 337 Memorial Wall that got an update this week after the roving gangs of white-washers came by and painted over what they thought was graffiti. Some people really need to double check which walls are tagging targets and which ones are legal art.

--- To finish out the time off I came by the studio to watch LOOM play live on our air Saturday morning. Very awesome to watch them live, even at 7AM. Then made my way over Positively 4th Street to take photos of the place for the upcoming interview about it this Monday. Did I give that away? Oh well, check out this picture from one of their hallways filled with doors to practice studios. The place is literally a maze at times, which admittedly was part of the fun.

I also popped into the Farmer's Market today just to see what was going on, and snapped lots of pictures from it as well. Lots of homemade jewelery to be sold, lots of artwork to be hung, lots of yummy food to be eaten. It's really nice to see Pioneer Park get used for something in our local community. Now only if they'd put in more lights at night and have security or police patrol that place on a normal basis. Yeah, I know I'm asking a lot for just one block... but why renovate if you're not going to stick with the upkeep? The walk was kind of spoiled when on my way out I saw a mother (who I should point out demonstrated that she could clearly stand an walk on her own with no trouble) force her young son to push her around Market in a wheelchair. ...Seriously?! I've seen all kinds of laziness in my time but that's an entirely new level. It's one of those moments where you want to stop her and say "Unless that kid did something extremely bad and is being punished, get up and walk!" But other than that, it was very fun.

All in all, not a bad time off. Got in concerts, television, outdoors time, and of course sleep. But September rolls in with football and new season premieres, so it's back to work I go this week. Updates on the calendar will be on the way, and of course interviews from who knows who. Don't really know what this month will hold, but as always we'll see what happens. Much kudos to those who made the time fun!
