Nothing makes me feel older than going to "da" club on a popular indie dance night. Surrounded by darling barely legal boys and girls clad in the latest American Apparel and thrift-store threads (their rides--probably fixed-gear) locked up in a fierce green-friendly huddle just outside the door... it's enough to make me stay at home or retreat to the dive bar for the comfort of jaded aging rockers complaining about their backs. Ace
City Weekly contributor Jonny Glines addressed this anxiety shared by many folks operating outside the indie dance scene in his
article on Million $ Mano. The Brooklyn DJ takes over the W Lounge tonight and from all accounts it's a Do Not Miss event. So suck it up people. Don't be scared. All are welcome. Even people who thought Ray Bans went out of style 20 years ago.
