We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

There is a reason no sitting president has ever gone on a late night Talk Show.........Obama just found out why.  Jay Leno is not a member of the White House press corps and the White House press corps are not professional comedians.

This is not to say that Obama didn't handle himself very well for 99.99% of the show, but his one off-hand remark about his bowling prowess when Jay was chiding him for his boastful score of 129 caused Obama to try and joke back implying his bowling was Special Olympics quality.........ARGHHHH!

It was just barely audible but it is the only thing that was heard if you listen to everybody on the right-wing echo chamber.  This is why I preach that leave joke-telling to professionals.  We are expected to say stupid things!

He apologized but still gave his detractors more ammunition to bash him.  You just know that Bush is chuckling somewhere.
