We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

Jack Bauer Has An Indie Record Label

Apparently this is old news, but for anyone who tuned into X96's Radio From Hell this morning between 8:45 and 10 a.m. and wondered what the hell Kerry, Bill and Gina were doing talking to Keifer Sutherland well here's your answer: The man who plays Jack Bauer is currently touring various radio stations across the country to promote artists on his record label, Ironworks Music. According to our own Bill Frost (whose Monday morning TV round-up was cut short to make room for Sutherland), the actor/label owner is a genuinely nice guy (also, "I can take him," says Frost). Sutherland is so down to earth, in fact, he spent Sunday night at the Tavernacle piano bar singing karaoke and having one heck of a good time. Is your mind blown yet? You have 24 Hours to catch up on Billy Boy On Poison and perhaps even purchase an album. Because you'll never hear them again on X96.
