This blog via the American Spectator makes a good point about Romney opting out of re-election 2006 to run for presidents leaving his fellow Massachusetians (?) high and dry while the state was embroiled in major battles over gay marriage and health care. Now Palin, mysteriously retiring from the Alaskan seat of power to become…what?  A rapper alongside Joaquin Phoenix? And before that our own guv leaving Utah to play Marco Polo for Obama.

What’s the deal here? What happened to republicans with follow-through? Where’s the stickabilities? That’s not even counting Sanford in South Carolina. What gives there? At least a democrat would do the courtesy of finishing out a lame-duck term, and at least know how to hide an extra-marital affair better.

Makes you wonder who’s gonna step up for the GOP in 2012. Because right now, it really feels like they’re running around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off.
