Part of being a sports geek-fan-loser is debating who is the greatest in their sport or position.
In the NFL, solid arguments can be made for who is the greatest quarterback of all time, greatest running back and so on. When it comes to wide receiver, however, there is little debate. The GOAT acronym stands for “Greatest of all time.” That would be, without question, Jerry Rice, San Francisco 49ers receiver who owns more NFL records than any single player in NFL history.
Jerry sits down with my least favorite Sports Illustrated hack-jackass Rick Reilly today @ 5pm on ESPN and probably replayed several times afterwards.
Here is a little sample of Jerry at work.
