We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

Wiseguys Comedy Cafe locations in Utah do a fine job of keeping bellies full even as they're shaking with laughter -- including the new Trolley Square location with its Poundcakes restaurant. This weekend, though, there's a special open-air opportunity to sate your appetites for good food and good fun.

On Friday and Saturday (July 24 and July 25), Park Meadows Country Club in Park City will be hosting a special comedy triple-bill, combined with a special buffet by Executive Chef Chris Sheehan. Park City local David Williams hosts an evening that includes Tracy Smith (Comedy Central Presents, Premium Blend) and Frances Dilorenzo (Last Comic Standing, Real Housewives of Orange County). But for comedy connoisseurs, the big draw has to be veteran Dom Irrera, who has been mastering the art of stand-up for 20 years. Catch all the comedy, plus gourmet goodies, for $90 per person. 24 hour advance reservation required; call 435-649-2460, ext. 204.
