Now, here's an outing that sounds like delicious fun! --- Pam, a friend of mine, is putting together a bus/caravan for the First Annual Payson Salmon Run. 

This was news to me, but for the last 55 years Payson has hosted a summertime salmon supper. This Friday is the 55th Annual Payson Salmon Supper. The salmon is shipped in fresh from Alaska and grilled by the city's firemen over flaming fruitwood. I'm told it's some of the juiciest, tastiest salmon you'll ever eat. It's an evening of supper in the park, entertainment on the bandstand, and great food.

So, my friend has planned to charter a 27-seat bus -- first come, first served. And if the bus fills up, we'll caravan down to Payson. It's $10 for the bus ride and $15 for the salmon dinner, cash only.

When: August 7, 2009, 5:00 PM. Depart approx. 5:15 PM

Where: Meet at the TriFecTa parking lot, where the bus will set sail: 1940 S. 1100 East.
