I stopped by Zucca Trattoria in South Ogden yesterday for lunch with my son, Hank. --- He had farfalle pasta with a fantastic, but simple, homemade pomodoro, while I munched on a stupendous Margherita pizza and authentic cannolis.
Chef/owner Elio Scanu and Zucca are currently offering a lunch and dinner special, Monday through Wednesday, called In Zanity! Customers get 3 courses for $19, beginning with a choice of appetizer: soup of the day, mixed green salad or tomato-basil bruschetta, followed by an entree: fusilli with fennel sausage and roasted pepper, spinach and rocotta tortelli, or pan-seared chicken breast with Sicilian-style couscous. For dessert there is panna cotta with blueberries and balsamic reduction or homemade tiramisu.
