Jason Chaffetz and I agree on airport nudity.....Did I just say that?---

Ever since Jason Chaffetz got elected to Congress, I have found him to be obnoxious, brash, self-promoting, egotistical and amusing to watch.  I never thought I would find myself in his corner but when it comes to this crazy airport security system of full body scan, I find myself agreeing with him.

Chaffetz had a bit of a dust-up with the Salt Lake City Airport TSA the other day over his screening through security.  There are two sides to the story but I can see where the TSA is probably right about Chaffetz being obnoxious and playing his favorite card, "Don't you know who I am?"  That is stupid as Ted Kennedy had to go through the same type of screening when flying.  It is a hassel but we all have to put up with it I guess.

The issue I agree with Chaffetz on is the full body scan device that shows a person virtually naked to the screener. Supposedly this is strictly up to the passenger whether he/she wants to be looked at naked.  The other option is the conventional walk through machine that beeps if you have finger nail clippers in your pocket.  Then there is the full body pat down.  I must admit that I hate flying for a varity of reasons.  At the top of my list is the screening ritual.  I really don't think it does all that much to ensure the flying publics safety.  After 9/11 I knew that there would be no more hyjackings by a couple of crazy's as passengers wouldn't allow it to happen.

Metal detectors, O. K.  Shoe removal....please, but full naked body scans, forget it.  I have to agree with Chaffetz on this one.  I am surprised that none of the scans have shown up on Youtube or Facebook yet.  Give it time.
