— Something’s gotta give. Carolina is 0-2 and the Cowboys are 0-1 at the “Six Flags Over Jerry’s Ego” Dome. Both teams need a victory, with the Panthers staring up at the 3-0 Saints in their division, and the Cowboys in the same boat with the 3-0 NY Giants in theirs.

—Steve Smith, former Ute wide receiver, one of the best in the NFL. Slow start to the season, but he could exploit the Dallas secondary.
