I was afraid of this from the moment Joe Torre went to LA… ---
Now that it’s gone past “maybe” and looks like “probably” I am really afraid.
After hitting a home run last night, Cardinals stud outfielder Matt Holliday dropped a soft line drive with two outs in the ninth inning that would have ended the game, and sent the Cards back to St. Louis tied 1-1. The ball was hit right to him… hit him in the glove… he dropped it. How? Satan, that’s how.
The Cardinals are done, and when the Dodgers beat Philly they will be onto the World Series. Who do you think they will face? The Yankees. How? Satan, that’s how.
Oh wait, I forgot to mention if you didn’t already know. The Dodgers have the highest team salary in the National League and the Yankees have the highest in the American League.
The Yankees-Dodgers rivalry is one of the oldest in baseball. They have played each other more than any other AL-NL teams. They have played each other in eleven World Series. They are both original New York teams. (Brooklyn Dodgers) They represent the two largest cities in America. East coast-West coast. Biggie – Tupac. Add to that Joe Torre, the Yankees previous manager is the Dodgers current manager.
Plus the stats, “did you know” stories and 25 hour a day media blitz will be bigger than any sporting event in recent memory. All delivered to straight to your TV from FOX!!!
Yup, napalm smells like victory. I think I’m gonna throw up.
My boy Titus said it best… “It’s the World Series everybody wants to see… except baseball fans.”
