Bob Dylan is the talk of the town tonight as he heads to Magna for his Great Saltair gig. Early reviews of the legend's new Christmas album have been largely negative, though talk to any hardcore fan and they're likely to sing high praises for the, um, unique holiday LP. Either way, it's likely he'll skip "Silver Bells" during this evening's performance.---

Don't have the scratch or the inclination to catch Dylan? Check out a homegrown troubadour for free at Slowtrain instead! David Williams headlines the local record store's weekly local night at 6 p.m. Williams' latest release, Western Interior Seaway, belongs in your collection. Pick one up at the show.

Later, head to Urban Lounge for ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead with openers Future of the Left (featuring members of dearly departed Welsh group McKlusky).
