The citizen initiative to actually get ‘r’ done when it comes to ethics reform, is hosting a press conference today, at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda, 350 N. State, at 4 p.m.---
With GOP leadership recently calling out the Utahns for Ethical Government ballot proposal, it looks like the grass roots group will probably be issuing its response. The group is proposing a number of changes to Utah’s anything-goes standards of state guvment, including an independent ethics commission and campaign spending limits. The group will need to rally 95,000 signatures to get the proposal on the 2010 ballot.
