HEADLINE: Chest pains send Limbaugh to hospital.---

I don't wish ill of El Rushbo even though I think he is one of the biggest pantloads around.  It has been reported that while vacationing with family and friends in Honolulu he experienced chest pains and was taken by ambulance to the Queens Medical Center in serious condition. He is now resting comfortably and seemingly doing just fine. He has made a fortune bashing Democrats, Liberals, main stream media, Hollywood "types", gays, women's groups, the education system, Chelsey, Bill and Hillery Clinton, Valery Plame/Joe Wilson and one of the most agregious attacks I have ever seen was perpetrated on actor Michael J Fox for displaying the effects of the Parkinsons disease while testifying before a Congressional Committee. Rush accused Fox of exaggerating his condition by mimicing his physical tic's and movements caused by his Parkinsons.  Rush bounced and jerked all over his studio during his attack on Michael J Fox as if Fox was faking his disease. Rush is an asshole with Tiger Woods type money.  Tiger seems to be an asshole as well, but that's another story.

This baffoon has amassed a huge audience, which continues to amaze me, that thinks everything he says is written in stone somewhere and is actually true.  Rush is the consumate showman and I give him credit for his success but question the audience  for listening while nodding their heads in agreement. His success has spawned a herd of copy-cat radio gas-bags and now there are even radio stations that promote the fact that they are anti-Obama stations and all their programming is far right.  I am not crazy about Obama and what he has done in his first year but I root for him to get something right and succeed.  Unlike Rush who repeatedly said he hopes Obama fails. If Obamb fails we all suffer and this is what Limbaugh wants?  Rush Limbaugh has done more to fracture our society than anybody who ever cracked open a microphone or talked into a camera.  Here is a guy who is a drug addict and when he got out of rehab had a wonderful opportunity to use his experience for good but instead just brushed it off and made himself out to be the victim and blamed the "media" for his woes.  His drug abuse cost him his hearing and he had a teachable moment to reach his minnions about how easy it is to fall into the trap of addiction to pain killers and the damage they can do if not treated before it's too late. 

I want to make it clear that I seperate the man from his health.  I wish him health and recovery, however I wish people who listen to his daily 3 hour diatribe that is filled with half truths, phony facts and out right lies, would try to do a little critical thinking for themselves.  Our country is divided like I have never seen before and Rush Limbaugh is leading the pack by fear mongering and continuing to bellow the "Us VS Them" theme.  One thing I am sure of is Rush is not worried about any pre-existing conditions affecting his health coverage as he just signed a new deal with Premier Radio Networks for $38 million per year thru 2016 with a 9 figure signing bonus.  Now that is a lot of "Ditto's".
