Sundance Music & Parties Start Tonight

Thank God the weather decided to get its act together in time for Sundance and the winter Outdoor Retailers convention. It's bad enough when us locals have to choke on the air much less apologize to visitors for our town's soupy inversion. Recent snow and rainstorms are just another reason to celebrate.--- Tonight, kick off the festivities in Park City with DJ Mom Jeans, a.k.a. Danny Masterson, at his nightclub, Downstairs. Dirt Nasty is also on the bill. Also on Main Street, Star Bar welcomes Dave Audé, Lavelle & JJ Flores to its sub-street-level digs. Here in Salt Lake City, catch Collective Soul, a Samples acoustic set, Ivy League and Allred at The Rail. Tickets available online at SmithsTix.com. Also in town, Afro Omega, Samba Gringa and Purdy Mouth represent Utah talent at The Urban Lounge. Stay tuned for further postings on additional Sundance/X-Dance/Slamdance/OR events happening the days/nights ahead. The latest rumored performance is MIA at Harry O's... also, don't miss Jacob Stringer's roundup here.
