Not too many teens hope to win a trip to Uganda. Disney World or Six Flags, maybe—but a war-torn African nation? ---
Judge Memorial High School student Emily Burchett won a trip to Uganda through the nonprofit Invisible Children and was excited to go.
"I went last summer and have since come back passionate about this cause," the 17 year old writes, noting that Invisible Children will make a presentation at the Judge Memorial cafeteria on Thursday, April 15, at 6 p.m. Two young Ugandan men who have been helped by Invisible Children's scholarships and job opportunities will speak.
Take yourself (and your teen) to learn about the Invisible Children program, how three young Americans with cameras were able to help thousands of orphans in Uganda sleeping on the street.
