Last weekend, Salt Lake City's Wasatch Roller Derby traveled west to take on Reno's Battle Born Derby Demon. The recap from WRD's Honey Delunatic: ---

Saturday, May 22: The Battle Born Derby Demons hosted the Midnight Terror at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno, NV. This is the first time that these two teams have faced off. With little know about each others play style everything was up in the air. Wasatch Roller Derby started and ended this game with fury. The Midnight Terror dominated the pack with “slow play” and hard hits. At the end of the first half the score was 32 to 87 with MT in control.

The second half opened with BBDD working hard to halt the progression of the Midnight Terror. Reno’s ladies came back from halftime with bigger hits and an eye out for the MT jammer. Even with the change it strategy it was difficult for the Derby Demons to close the gap on the points. The MT top jammers of the night: Queen’s Anne’s Revenge and Honey Delunatic could not be stopped. In addition the blockers of MT consistently held the BBDD jammer in the pack while MT tallied up points. The final score of the game was 204-51 giving Wasatch Roller Derby a well-earned win.

Midnight Terror roster: Ali3 Kitt3n #976, Chica Dolor #129, Fraw Meow #29, Gunnin’ Geisha #10-71, Honey Delunatic #3, Lady Rage #5.0, Medusa Damage #424, Miss Bizness Das #57, Miss E. Vil #55, Nico Noir #2112, Queen Annes Revenge #1711, Skatey Gaga #6.
