This Thursday, July 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Fresco Italian Cafe will host a "meet the winemaker" event featuring Aldo Zaninotto, a winemaker from Vietti winery in Piedmont, Italy. ---  In addition to tasting fine Vietti wines, an array of hors d'oeuvres will be provided by Fresco featuring Caputo's cheeses and other local products. The $49 per person cost includes wine and hors d'oeuvres. 

Some of the benchmark wines to be included in the Fresco tasting are  2007 Vietti Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne, 2006 Vietti Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco, 2005 Vietti Barolo Castiglione and 2007 Vietti Barbera d'Alba Scarrone.
