Time to hit the record store, because there is an unusually strong lineup of new releases hitting shelves today.---

New albums out today:

Sara Bareilles, Kaleidoscope Heart. The piano-popper is coming to town Nov. 17.

Helmet, Seeing Eye Dog. Album No. 7 from the hard-rocking guitar gods led by Page Hamilton.

Interpol, Interpol. A fine return to form for the New York trio (Carlos D left the band!) A sample of new single "Lights:"

Brendan James, Brendan James. Playing at Velour in Provo Friday.

Jerry Lee Lewis, Mean Old Man. The Killer returns with a mean new album.

Ludo, Prepare the Preparations. Playing the Avalon Oct. 8

Megadeth, Rust In Peace: Live. Just like the original album, but live. Playing the Maverik Center with Slayer and Anthrax Oct. 19.

Robyn, Body Talk Pt. 2. Swedes: Not just for massages anymore.

Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Legacy. The legend is joined by Del McCoury, Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings on this set.

The Thermals, Personal Life. One of my faves, coming to Salt Lake City for a show Oct. 29. Here's a taste of the new:
