24 Hour Comics Day: Every wanted to put together your own comic book? Join in the local venue for this nationwide challenge to write, draw and letter one 24-page comic in 24 hours. Tristram Shandy, Gentleman: Laurence Sterne's classic 18th century comic novel becomes a theatrical play, adapted by Weber State faculty member Victoria Ramirez. This original production is free and open to the public Sunday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. at Universe City in Ogden, 2556 Washington Blvd.

Bring Your Own Ghost conference: Ogden's Ben Lomond Hotel hosts Utah's largest-ever gathering devoted to exploring paranormal phenomena.
