Ready for a desolate holiday TV week of reruns and mind-numbing Thanksgiving specials? Enjoy the weekend and don't forget to hit the liquor store, kids. ---

What’s new this weekend:
Supernatural (The CW, tonight) Soulless Sam must wade through elves, gnomes, fairies, and leprechauns to retrieve Sam, who was abducted from a crop circle during a UFO investigation. After last season’s Apocalypse, looks like we’re getting back to basics … or something.

Also new tonight:
Medium, CSI:NY, Blue Bloods (CBS); The Good Guys (Fox); Smallville (The CW); School Pride (NBC); Law & Order: UK (BBC America); The Benson Interruption (Comedy Central); Sanctuary (SyFy); The Soup (E!)

Saturday Night Live (NBC, Saturday) Anne Hathaway hosts and pimps Love & Other Drugs—and looks damned fine doing it; musical guests Florence & The Machine fulfill the minimum hipster-band requirement to offset the rest of 2010’s geezer quotient (Paul McCartney and Eminem, coming up!). Did I mention that Anne Hathaway is hot? Just checking.

The Venture Bros. (Adult Swim, Sunday) Season Finale: Read all about it in True TV (Item 1)

The Futurama Holiday Spectacular (Comedy Central, Sunday) Read all about it in True TV (Item 2)

Brew Masters (TLC, Sunday) Series Debut: Read all about it in True TV (Item 3)

Family Guy (Fox, Sunday) Brian writes a hit self-help book, so his agent Stewie books an appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher (as himself—and not animated), who thinks said book is a complete load of shit. Funniest gag of the episode? That anyone would go on Real Time With Bill Maher to promote anything.

The American Music Awards (ABC, Sunday) The 38th redundant celebration of horrible music that everybody already bought welcomes Katy Perry, Usher, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift and the rest you’ve seen/will see on every other awards show on TV.

Also new Sunday:
The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, American Dad (Fox); The Amazing Race, Undercover Boss, CSI: Miami (CBS); The Walking Dead (AMC); Kendra, Married to Rock (E!); Sarah Palin’s Alaska (TLC); Boardwalk Empire (HBO); Dexter (Showtime)

Preview: Bill Hader and Anne Hathaway celebrate Thanksgiving "coming up" on Saturday Night Live.
