Lounge Act Wednesday: GWAR, Soulful Sole and Getting Blissed

Thanksgiving Eve typically means drunken buffoonery, at least if you do it right. Thankfully (yes, Thankfully), there are a few prime spots to get it done Wednesday.---

One such option: the annual Royal Bliss throwdown, which this year takes over the large confines of The Depot. I'm guessing they're thankful there's still an audience hungry for their straightforward rock sound after all these years. And with a new album coming in 2011, they're still going strong. Kudos!

Out at The Great Saltair, the bar will be open for one of GWAR's typically twisted gigs, full of blood and other assorted bodily fluids. If you need to get some aggression out before hanging with the family Thursday, this is a good option.

And you'll have to drink before and after for this gig, but the Sole and the Skyrider (pictured) show at Kilby Court should be a scorcher of creative rhymes and soulful hip-hop.

Enjoy your Turkey Day, try not to kill each other, either at home or on the roads, and we'll catch ya Friday.
