Perfect Couples will air on Thursdays as part of NBC’s wall-to-wall comedy night come January, but the net is giving it a post-Sing-Off taste tonight, presumably so somebody might actually see it. The setup: Three wildly/mildly different couples who happen to be friends. Yes, it’s been done before, but Perfect Couples has a slightly better comedy pedigree than those that came before it: It’s produced and directed by Seinfeld, 30 Rock and Friends alum, and co-stars Attack of the Show/The Daily Show’s Olivia Munn and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Mary Elizabeth Ellis—on paper, the hot and the funny bases are well covered.
At the very least, Perfect Couples already looks funnier than Outsourced, if not The Cape:
