What’s new tonight:
Human Target (Fox) Back-to-Back New Episodes: I may not have Terriers to bitch about/champion anymore, but at least Human Target is still around (for now). As smart, funny, well-written action series go, Human Target is one of the best that’s come around in years—especially for Fox and, really, broadcast nets in general. And the second installment of tonight’s double-header guest-stars Arrested Development’s Buster (Tony Hale). Wait, that can’t be a good sign …
Modern Family (ABC) Yes, it’s finally back—and gayer than ev-er! OK, not like Logo gay or anything, but tonight Cameron and Mitchell meet/swoon over their new neighbor, a shirtless James Marsden. For the breeders, Gloria tries to ride a bike.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC) Back-to-Back New Episodes: Apparently, playing a rape victim on SVU is a hot ticket for actresses anymore—tonight, the show’s landed two Sons of Anarchy outcasts, Drea de Matteo (also of The Sopranos, of course) and Taryn Manning (also of most B-flicks you run across on cable at 3 a.m.). Emote away, ladies.
The People’s Choice Awards (CBS) As we established earlier, ‘Merica is stoopid—and here are all of their stoopid picks! Try and act surprised.
Also new tonight:
The Middle, Better With You, Cougar Town (ABC); Live to Dance (CBS); Minute to Win It (NBC); Top Chef All-Stars (Bravo); Man vs. Food (Travel); Mythbusters (Discovery)
Preview: Cameron and Mitchell meet the new meat next door on Modern Family.
