We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

TV Tonight: White Collar, Life Unexpected, The Walking Dead

Over 3 million viewers tuned into MTV’s shittier remake of Britain’s shitty Skins last night; today comes the news that SyFy has renewed Sanctuary. I give and I give to TV, and this is how you repay me? ---

What’s new tonight:
White Collar (USA) Winter Premiere: Not one of my favorite USA series, but I will admit that White Collar is an entertaining placeholder anytime I accidentally land on it on my way to, like, Red Eye or something. Tonight, the FBI Guy (Tim DeKay) and the Smooth Criminal (Matt Bomer) track down the man who shot the Comic Relief (Willie Garson) in last fall’s cliffhanger. I suspect the Distracting Rack (Tiffany Thiessen) will also make an appearance, as well as that Damned Fedora (Bomer’s hat).

Life Unexpected (The CW) 2-Hour Series Finale: Due to a complete lack of slutty socialites and broody vampires, Life Unexpected is over at The CW—who saw that coming? A “heartwarming” throwback to the Gilmore Girls days of The WB doesn’t fly between Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries, but at least the show is getting a proper(ish) send-off, and this makes two network fails for Kristoffer Polaha (remember Valentine?). Awww …

The Walking Dead (AMC) Mini-Marathon: Since the first season of AMC’s zombie hit The Walking Dead was only six episodes long, anything involving the word “marathon” seems like a stretch—but here it is: Tonight, the first three episodes; tomorrow, the last three. Shouldn’t this be running at Brewvies, too?

Also new tonight:
No Ordinary Family, V, Detroit 187 (ABC); NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, The Good Wife (CBS); The Biggest Loser, Parenthood (NBC); Million Dollar Money Drop (Fox); What Not to Wear (TLC); Tosh.0, The Onion SportsDome (Comedy Central); Lights Out (FX); Southland (TNT); Glory Daze, Conan (TBS)

Preview: Now you’ll be as caught-up as I am on Season 2 of White Collar …
