TV Tonight: Criminal Minds, Traffic Light, Hoarding

Charlie Sheen attracted over a million Twitter followers in one day. Me, I’ve been on there over a year and have yet to crack 1,000. Come on and Sheen me, people: @Bill_Frost. ---

What’s new tonight:
Criminal Minds (CBS) Breaking from the usual crime-of-the-week pattern, Criminal Minds has introduced an actual serialized storyline late in Season 6 here—too bad it’s probably going to end with agent Prentiss (Paget Brewster) either dead or on the run. Since Brewster has been given the option to leave at the end of this season, CM is writing a fanciful cliffhanger involving her old Interpol nemesis that could either keep her around or send her off. Tonight, Clyde steps up his game and threatens to take out the whole BAU team … Wait, are everybody’s contracts up?

Traffic Light (Fox) Special Night: Since Fox needed to fill a half-hour after tonight’s 90-minute American Idol, they went with new Tuesday relationship comedy Traffic Light instead of a Family Guy rerun. Cool, but will the Idol audience “get” a smart comedy? Not that I’m saying Idol fans are morons … OK, I am saying they’re morons.

Hoarding: Buried Alive (TLC) Season Premiere: Not to be confused with A&E’s Hoarders, Hoarding: Buried Alive (kicking off its second season tonight) is about sad-sack mental cases who collect a whole lotta shit until their houses are overrun and teary relatives plead with them to clean it up, but only after the camera crew comes in. Totally different. I’m still looking forward to a joint Syfy/A&E production of Ghost Hoarders, myself.

Also new tonight:
The Middle, Better With You, Modern Family, Mr. Sunshine, Off the Map
(ABC); Survivor, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (CBS); Minute to Win It, Law & Order: SVU (NBC); American Idol (Fox); America's Next Top Model, Shedding for the Wedding (The CW); Hot in Cleveland, Retired at 35 (TV Land); Ghost Hunters, Face Off (Syfy); Man vs. Food (Travel); Top Chef: All-Stars (Bravo); Justified (FX); Conan (TBS)

Preview: Doyle puts Prentiss’ considerable nose even further out of joint on Criminal Minds …
