WRD's Action Girl recaps the, you got it, action:
"The Hot Wheelers hit it hard from the very beginning! Harry Slaughter started racking up the points with the very first jam, followed by a 10-point jam by Action Girl. Jammer Skull Candi pulled off some amazing strategic moves throughout the bout and even managed her signature move of baiting the other team’s Jammer while simultaneously stacking up the points. Black Diamond Diva Jammer, Moon Raker, made her WRD debut with an impressive showing of skating skill, agility and determination—she’ll be one to watch this season!
"Hot Wheelers Team Captain, Miss Business Daz, made sure the Wheelers never let up and that the ladies were able to maintain the lead throughout the game. The final score was 98 to 66, Wheelers. Since the Hot Wheelers took home the win, our home teams now have one win each on the books this season. This means we’ll be seeing a tie-breaker during the next home team bout which scheduled to be held at the Derby Depot on April 2.
"In addition to the exciting evening of derby at the Salt Palace, the men of Uinta Madness were present en force to support the ladies of WRD. UMRD Skaters Sam Awry and Drywall kindly donated their time to keep the crowd updated on the score between each Jam. UMRD’s Big Daddy volunteered his body as a launch pad for Sam Awry, but Head Referee Phillip McCrevasse quickly put an end to their antics. Also, many a fan and skater were witness to the sexy man legs of Collin DeShotz, who sported some short (!) shorts borrowed from fellow referee Wanton Rebellion in honor of…well, we never found out why he wore them, but the images will be burned into our memories forever. Thanks for that, Collin.
"WRD is proud to have raised $852.00 for the HopeKids charity."
