A 25 member working group will hold their first meeting Wednesday morning to brainstorm on how to revitalize Utah’s open-government records law—and give the public the process they deserve in crafting such legislation.---

With representatives of old media and new, lawmakers, a retired judge, social media gurus and more, the HB477 working group will hold their first meeting this week to discuss how to effectively re-write Utah’s open-government records access law to make government more transparent while also protecting the personal privacy of constituents and legislators.

The meeting is Wednesday, March 23, at 9 a.m. at the Utah State Capitol, 350 N. State, Senate Building Room 210.
