We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

TV Tonight: The Good Wife, Sports Show, Braxton & Sinbad

Last night’s relaunch of Law & Order: LA attracted even fewer viewers than it had before—which is impossible, unless people were physically lighting their TVs on fire and tossing them out windows. Tough shit, NBC. ---

What’s new tonight:
The Good Wife (CBS) The election results are in! Will Peter (Chris Noth) win the office of whatever the hell he was running for? Will Alicia (Julianna Margulies) find out about the other other other woman? And that it was Kalinda (Archie Panjabi), who’s apparently only a part-time lesbian? And what does a pissed-off South American dictator have to do with any of this? At least one of these burning questions will be answered tonight. The Good Wife is more complicated than you thought, huh?

Sports Show With Norm MacDonald (Comedy Central) Series Debut: Continuing the plainly-spelled-out-show-title theme of Norm MacDonald: Me Doing Stand-Up, he’s back with a regular Comedy Central gig on Sports Show With Norm MacDonald. As you might gather, it’s a sports show hosted by Norm MacDonald—but, unlike the previous Onion SportsDome, it’ll be about actual sports and events, not fabricated. Paired with The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, this now makes CNN, Fox News and ESPN completely irrelevant.

Braxton Family Values (We) Series Debut: A washout singer (Toni Braxton) you don’t give a fuck about gets a reality show centered around her family, whom you really don’t give a fuck about.

Sinbad: It’s Just Family (We) Series Debut: A washout comedian (Sinbad) you don’t give a fuck about gets a reality show centered around his family, whom you really don’t give a fuck about. What channel is We, anyway?

Also new tonight:
Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, Dancing With the Stars, Body of Proof (ABC); NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS); The Biggest Loser, Parenthood (NBC); Traffic Light (Fox); What Not to Wear (TLC); Marcel's Quantum Kitchen (Syfy); The Deadliest Catch (Discovery); Conan (TBS)

Preview: Ah, childhood memories with Sports Show With Norm MacDonald:
