The Fantasticks: Park City’s Egyptian Theatre announces auditions for its upcoming production of The Fantasticks on the 50th anniversary of the beloved musical. Six roles will be filled; auditions will be held May 20 at the Utah Opera Studios in Salt Lake City (336 N. 400 West), 6 – 8 p.m., and May 22 at the Egyptian Studios downstairs in Park City’s Main Street Mall (345 Main St.), 1 – 3 p.m. Additional details here.
Craft Lake City: SLUG Magazine’s annual summer showcase of local crafts (August 13, 2011) is still open to entries for consideration. Friday, May 27 is the deadline to submit your handmade goods; artists selected will be invited to vend at the event. Application fee is $5, apply online here.
Heritage Highway Juried Art Exhibition: Central Utah Art Center's annual exhibition showcasing artists living in Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield and Kane Counties takes place May 27 - June 7 in conjunction with Ephraim's Scandinavian Festival. Submission deadline is May 14, accepting all media. Application fee is $20 for 3 images, $5 for each additional image. Prizes of $200, $300 and $500 in a variety of categories will be awarded at the May 27 reception. Apply online here.
