Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

Listen Now to BOOK OF MORMON Songs

It may be several years before Utah gets a look at Broadway's hit The Book of Mormon musical. But that doesn't mean you need to go to New York to hear the tunes. ---

The original cast recording for The Book of Mormon--the critically acclaimed and multi-Tony-award-nominated tale of two missionaries in Africa--is now available, showcasing the 16 original songs by Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez. And thanks to the NPR Website, you can listen to them all right now, for free.

It won't come as any surprise to fans of South Park that these guys know how to write infectious, irreverent songs. From the bouncy opening number "Hello!" to the missionary companion bro-mantic lullaby "I Am Here for You" to the hilariously earnest testimony of "I Believe," it's an all-killer/no-filler collection. That wait for the show just got a little bit harder.
