Lounge Act Tuesday: A slew of tunes

A bevy of tunes are on tap Tuesday night. Which show will you choose?---

One of the more unusual shows to come along in a while is hitting The Urban Lounge tonight. A bunch of Missouri-based bluegrass and mountain-music artists who contributed to the soundtrack of Winter's Bone are on the road to show the rest of the country what Ozarks-style tunes are like. If you're into roots-music or bluegrass at all, the Music from the Film Winter's Bone tour is a must-see.

Holy Water Buffalo is headlining a breast-cancer-awareness benefit at Kilby Court, a show that also includes Pablo Blaqk and Small Town Sinners. Great tunes and a great cause.

At In The Venue, the Arctic Monkeys and The Vaccines take the stage for a show sure to be high on energy; it's an early one, so be sure to get there by 6:30 p.m. to see the Vaccines--a more-than-worthy opening act. The Piper Down is hosting an unusual Tuesday show, featuring the Hub City Stompers.
