Martine Meets Caymus

On Thursday, June 2nd, Martine Cafe will be hosting Caymus Vineyards and The Wagner Family Portfolio of Wines for what promises to be a wonderful wine dinner. --- The five-course extravaganza begins at 6:30 p.m. I'm told this is the very first wine dinner held at Martine. It looks like a good one.

Chef/partner Tom Grant has created a very appealing looking menu which includes grape leaf-wrapped halibut with blood orange ver jus; spring vegetable fricassee with rabbit confit; Morgan Valley lamb rack with pistachio crust and Cabernet-juniper berry jus; and Meyer lemon panna cotta with hazelnut pralines.

Among the wines being poured are Mer Soleil Chardonnay, Belle Glos Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Meiomi and a selection Caymus Cabernets.

The cost for the Martine/Caymus/Wagner wine dinner is $45 for food and $30 for the (optional) wine pairings.

Phone 801-363-9328 for reservations.
