A few options for getting your week off to a fine flying start.---

The must-do event Monday is the Downtown Alliance's "Gather with the Growers" party at Squatters, where you can meet the vendors of this year's farmers market and sample their wares a good five days before the launch of this summer's Downtown Farmers Market on Saturday. The party is always a blast, and you'll leave stuffed to the gills with tasty treats, and drinks from Squatters and High West Distillery.

Starting today, the Tracy Aviary will be open late every Monday through the summer, allowing visitors to "Beat the Heat!" in the dusk, and see special bird shows put together just for the later hours.

On the music tip, Cornered by Zombies are headlining Monday at The Urban Lounge, and bluegrassy punks Old Man Markley headlines at Burt's Tiki Lounge.
