If you have a father, are a father, know a father, or maybe you’re dating a father – you might want to take him out to dinner for Father’s Day on Sunday.

Here are some options from restaurants --- that contacted me with Father’s Day specials. If you know of others, feel free to add them to the “comments” section below.

The Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant in Midway will offer special Father’s Day selections including smoked brisket and eggs with red onion potato hash, and honey-smoked salmon Benedict with wild arugula, multi grain rounds, herb hollandaise and Lyonnais potatoes. The Blue Boar will still offer Sunday Brunch signature favorites like its cinnamon marbled brioche French toast with sweet cream butter and maple syrup alongside a choice of ham, bacon or sausage. The Blue Boar’s Father’s Day brunch is fixed-price at $40. Seating will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling 888-650-1400.

Bambara will celebrate Father's Day all weekend long. Guests can skip their backyard grilling and head to Bambara where chef Nathan Powers is cooking up an extraordinary menu of great steak dishes in honor of Dad, Friday through Sunday, June 17 to 19. Chef Powers' signature steak frites with herbed fries, peppercorn jus and béarnaise sauce can be ordered with either a 12 oz. Angus flat iron steak or 12 oz. dry aged New York steak. The grilled filet of beef dish, new this year, is complemented with a sweet onion puree, garlic braised kale, semolina onion rings and Maine lobster butter. For dads wanting something a bit different, Bambara offers choices including a maple-brined pork porterhouse, cast iron roasted Colorado bison, or braised Morgan Valley lamb shank. "I'm excited to be celebrating my second Father's Day and happy to create these amazing steak dishes for others," said Powers. "The steak frites is one of my favorite meals EVER." Dinner will be served a la carte from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and reservations are highly recommended. For more information or reservations, call (801) 363-5454.

Snowbird’s Father’s Day weekend events include live music, a brewfest featuring at least a dozen local breweries offering 3oz. samples for $1, Tram ride, an all-you-can-eat BBQ and the opening of most summer activities (ZipRider, Bungy Trampolines, Climbing Wall, Mechanical Bull and others) as conditions permit.
